Watch pressure test


Generally a watch case should protect the inside of the watch from the dust and dampness in the atmosphere. And in the case of water proof watches the watch case stops the water penetration, when the watch is submerged.
A pressure test can determine and measure the effectiveness of the seal. And also the test can reveal any leaks and its location.

Watch case resealing


There are several gaskets within the watch case to provide a seal.Once the location of the leak is determined, the faulty gasket can be replaced to stop the leakage.
Every time a watch case is opened for repairs or battery replacement, the gasket should be visually checked for any damage. Over time the rubber gaskets could become brittle and break. These should be replaced to maintain the seal.
